- Who am I, what do I want, and how will I achieve it?

- The nature of the self

- The purpose of the soul

- Where true happiness lies
- Integrating spiritual knowledge into our daily lives

Swami Ji is a highly experienced teacher who has spent many years in India studying philosophy and meditation at the deepest levels.

*About Swami Govindananda*
Swami Ji (Swami Govindananda) is the founder of Ji Living. He is widely known for his depth of knowledge, his gentle, humorous nature and his ability to inspire in others the quest for genuine spiritual living. Through his online talks, retreats, live presentations, written and recorded material, Swami Ji has touched the heart of many thousands of people.
Swami Ji embodies positive spirituality and through example shows how we can all live joyous lives while at the same time moving towards our fullest individual potential. He is a modern Holy man for today's times - a bright light for one and all.
Though a Westerner (he was born in New Zealand and lives in Australia), Swami Ji has spent many years in India learning personally from one of the country's historically accepted great Masters, Jagadguru Shri Kripaluji Maharaj. He was taught philosophy and meditation at the deepest levels and after years of intensive training with this great Master, was accepted into the Swami order.
With this blend of cultures, Swami Ji brings extraordinary clarity to the complex and timeless philosophies of India, making this knowledge easy to understand in a way that has rarely been seen in the West. The benefits can easily been seen in those who have come into contact with him.
To aid his work, Swami Ji established the Bhakti Meditation Centre in 1990, an organization recognized by the Australian Government as non-profit charity. As an extension of this he has introduced Ji Living to enable a broader spectrum of people to find joy, hope and inspiration in their lives.

When you hear these words, you may think “no! I can’t do it” or want to run away from the class.

In postures (asanas) like inversions, it is common to feel fear as you turn upside down and your legs, which are normally the part of the body that connects with the ground, are pointing to ceiling.

In this workshop, John Ogilvie, director of Byron Yoga Centre, one of the longest running yoga schools in Australia, will teach you how to get over the fear and give you practical tools to enable you to practice these inversions safely. We will also introduce the use of props to build your strength and stability in a beneficial and safe manner.

If you have no experience of inversions or have no confidence to attempt them, this is the workshop for you. Please come to the class and have fun with JOHN! With John’s help, it will be very easy and enjoyable.  Once you learn the procedure with John’s assistance, inversions will become your favorite postures!

Introduction to Anusara: Opening to the Flow of Grace

markMark Shveima, a Certified Anusara Teacher, is leading a workshop "Introduction to Anusara: Opening to the Flow of Grace" at Yoga Tribe on Aug 8th.

Anusara™ means “to flow with the universal presence of grace”, in sanskrit. The Anusara method is a dynamic practice in which Universal Principles of Alignment™ are used in a sequential, practical way, to maximize strength and flexibility. The asana practice is supported by a heart-centered tantric philosophy that encourages empowerment and exploration of our deepest emotional core.

In this workshop, you will be introduced to the five foundational alignment principles of the Anusara practice. As you learn how to physically embody these principles, you will also explore the intellectual and emotional aspects of the practice. When the actions we create with the body are connected to the heart, we become more lucid and skillful in everything we say and do.
